The Delta North branch of Crusaders- a Political Pressure Group fighting for sustenance of good governance and for Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to be Governor in the state, held its meeting at Ika National Hall last Friday with the goal of unifying Anioma People in common interest of the people.
While appreciating the people for attending the meeting, Hon. Ifeanyi Eboigbe urged them to work in unity and maintain peace and order, and also approach those not working with them, to be the laudable programme.
“We have to come and work because the person we are working for is not a hidden person, do not pass judgement on those not working with us but approach them to make them see reasons why Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa should be the next Governor of the State. Let us not create enemity so we can work in peace, when he emerges governor, it will before all”, he said.
Hon. Eboigbe remarked that the primary assignment of the group is to ensure there is spirit of oneness among them without fraction geared towards achieving victory and also on the need to have a structure from the unit level.
Chief Douglas Okolotu noted that the essence of political game is to have a political belief that Delta North must produce the next governor.
“The person we want is Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, he will be there to look after our affairs, so go home and begin to work and do not discriminate others canvassing for Okowa as next governor 2015”, he said.
Elder John Nwagimeje described Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as a discipline man, humble and one who realizes that power belongs to the people. “Okowa is a household name, he is grassroot mobilizer, he is not tribalistic, and his time is now”, he noted.
While commending Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his contributions to the General Hospital, Agbor, Elder Nwagimeje further stated that Dr. Okowa understands the people very well and that Deltans will have reasons to smile when he emerges the next governor in 2015.
Dignitaries at the event were; Hon. Hilary Fada Ibude,Hon. Sunny Ogwu, Jude Onya, Dr. Mafiana, Leaders of various LGs among others
